![]() You can run your Kotlin app on a simulator, but sometimes it is much faster to run in on your phone. This post is about my journey setting the environment up, and there will be another one about my journey writing the actual Kotlin code to do the REST call. To make the blog post not too long, I decided to break the post into two. So here I am, sharing my learning in a form of a blog post. Well for a Kotlin beginner like me anyway. There were a few gotchas I learnt a long the way and there wasn’t any straight forward tutorial out there to do so. Sounds simple eh? Surprisingly it wasn’t. The app is meant to grab data via a REST call and display it on the screen. ![]() ![]() So, I was trying to learn how to build an Android app with Kotlin using Android Studio. ![]()
